Greetings from SoCal

Hello all, I'm Bobby, I work at Phoenix Towing Company in Montebello, California. I am a 3rd generation mechanic, and have spent pretty much my whole life in the towing industry, learning to hook up when I was about 10 years old. By the time I was 12, I was dispatching nights on weekends and during the summer. I began turning wrenches with my dad when I was about 13 or 14. I drove for many years starting when I was old enough, these days I mostly work in the office and the garage.

I'm very proud of my father, Bob, a towman since 1964 when he built his first rig out of pipe to help out my grandpa, who owned a service station near Dodger Stadium here in L.A. My dad and 2 uncles worked for a few OPG companies here in Los Angeles, most of which have long been defunct: Hollenbeck Tow in Boyle Heights, Continental, Hank's Wilshire, Sid Langley's, Sanford & Huntley, and Viertel's, etc etc before starting Phoenix Towing about 30 years ago. I am also proud of my 5 year old son, Bobby #3, who hangs out at the shop every day after school, much like I did when I was a kid.
