ok what do the points mean and how can someone with 4 posts have 10,000 points but someone with 200 posts might only have 200 points?

To try to answer your question... points are accumulated by posts and quality of post for the most part, except for the case your talking about, which is a board staff member... because of the help and position that they hold on the board, they are automatically awarded a certain number of points for that position.... and members automatically accumulate the points by their post... The point system was already integrated into the program when I set up the board and I thought about taking it out, but then decided to leave it, as I COULD sort of use it as the board grows to help select future staff members based on their participation... just a though...
