The Passing of Fred G. Meister, 86. Freddie Mac's Inc. South El Monte, Ca.

Prior to 1954, he was know to most as Little Freddie Mac. When he took over the business in 1954 from his father, they changed the name from Mac's Towing to Freddie Mac's. He ran the business from 1954 to 2007 when he retired and handed the business over to his son, Danny.

Sadly, Fred passed away on November 30, 2013. Fred was a big name in the industry in the San Gabriel Valley. His rigs ran 11 western states. Local police agencies contracted with him for heavy duty work. Some agencies didn't mind waiting a few hours for them to arrive because his drivers got the job done right in a minimal amount of time. Something almost everyone does today.

He was a friend to me and to many others and he will be truly missed. God Blessed us with Little Freddie Mac for 86 years. and the time seems so short.

My thought and prayers go out to his wife and his family as well as all those who worked with him, for him, and who had a connection to him. Truly one of the nice guys of the industry, and one hell of a business man.
